Church Of The Brethren To Hold Tenderloin, Fish Supper

NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. CR 600N, North Webster, will hold a tenderloin and fish supper Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

It is drive-through only.

Menu includes tenderloin sandwich, two pieces of fish, cole slaw, baked beans and pie for $12  or five-piece fish dinner, cole slaw, baked beans and pie for $15.



Claypool UMC To Hold Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will hold Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Dana Yoder’s sermon title is "Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ" Romans 6:1-11.

Devotions are every Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.

A pastor parish meeting is right after church Sunday.

A church picnic will be July 9 to welcome Yoder and her family.



Gearhart To Present Message

MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, invites the public to join the church Sunday at 10:15 a.m. for worship service. Pastor Emily Gearhart will present the message “Tell in the Light.”

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday  school class at 8:45 a.m. The class is studying the book of Romans. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

Local UMCs To Host Collaborative Vacation Bible School

Local United Methodist churches are working together to host a collaborative Vacation Bible School June 26 through 29.  

The churches are bringing in the Whalemobile from Massachusetts for Jonah and the Whale night Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  This inflatable 43-foot-long lifesize humpback whale will fit approximately 20 kids inside at a time. Find more info here: https://thewhalemobile.com/.

Warsaw First UMC church downtown, 179 S. Indiana St., Warsaw, will be the host site. Pastors began meeting together, followed by forming a youth network (https://warsawfumc.org/cooperative-youth-ministry/) and now they are hosting vacation Bible school together.

Current churches involved are Atwood Aldergate UMC, Celebration UMC, Clunette UMC, Trinity, Walnut Creek and Warsaw First UMC.
