Religious Elections

Editor, Times-Union:
Having been involved in politics since 1972, I find the primary elections are now controlled by the “religious right,” which is fine if they did not impose their religion on everyone that may not believe as they do on gay marriage, pro-life, education standards etc.
We saw the reaction when we lost a great U.S. Senator in Dick Lugar. I hope the mainstream voters will be sure they vote on May 6 for a proven legislator in Rep. Kubacki and stop the minority faction from controlling this election.
The best things in life are not “things”
Have a Great Day!

Tea Party Rhonda Miller! I would like to THANK YOU and your followers for electing United States Senators Todd Akin from Missouri and Richard Mourdock from Indiana!! I forgot, they lost the General Election to the Democrats. The same thing will be true about Nisly. If he wins, Democrat David Kolbe will win the General Election. Using your words, I hope God has mercy on your soul.

Mr. Miller, while I appreciate your service as Senator, I respectfully disagree with your comments. Our great country was founded on God and Christian beliefs. We have allowed that foundation to be eroded by people who do not wish to recognize God. Time and time again that is what happened in the Old Testament and punishments come as will ours if we do not turn back from our wicked, narcistic ways. So while you might consider me as part of the "religious right", I consider it an honor, Sir! May God have mercy on your soul for denying him.
