Warsaw Swimmers Outpace Manchester To Open Season
Warsaw’s boys and girls swim teams opened their seasons with big wins over Manchester. The Tigers won every event on the way to a 142-20 win, and the Lady Tigers won all but one event in its 121-48 win.
Northfield was represented by one swimmer in the girls meet.
Warsaw will host Wawasee in a Northern Lakes Conference meet Saturday morning, and Manchester will travel to Royal Center and take on Pioneer on Dec. 1.

Six Lancer Soccer Players Honored For Academics
WINONA LAKE – The distinguished CoSIDA Academic All-America  Team awarded Grace’s soccer teams with six honorees.
CoSIDA awards student-athletes who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.3. Members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) then vote on eligible student-athletes through the district and national levels based on a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments.

Manchester Girls Fall At Home To Winamac, 57-42
A half-dozen Lady Squire basketball players scored at least six points in Manchester’s 57-42 home loss to Winamac Monday evening.
Ellie Milam led Manchester with nine points, and Drew Thompson added seven. Cierra Carter, Kennedy Fierstos, Tiffany Johnson and Bailey Sewell scored six points each for the Lady Squires.
