CITY OF WARSAW - VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A
PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
    Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of Warsaw, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on a Petition for Voluntary Annexation. The hearing will be held on the 6th day of January 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana.
    The proposed annexation, also, involves consideration of a change of the zoning classification from Agricultural to R-1/Residential for the following described tract:
    Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 11, Township 32 North, Range 6 East, Kosciusko County, Indiana, described as follows:
    Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 11; thence West, on the South line of said Southwest Quarter, to the centerline of County Road 225 East; thence North, along the centerline of County Road 225 East, to the intersection of said centerline and the Westerly extension of the South right-of-way line of Pontiac Drive, as shown on the plat of The First Addition to Indian Village, recorded in Plat Book 6, page 9 and found in the Office of the Recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana, said point being the Point of Beginning; thence West, 20 feet, more or less, to the West right-of-way line of said County Road 225 East; thence North, along said West right-of-way line, to the North line of said Southwest Quarter; thence East, on said North line, to the Northeast corner of said Southwest Quarter; thence South, on the East line of said Southwest Quarter, to the Northeast corner of Lot 12 in the Second Addition to Indian Village, recorded in Plat Book 8, page 4; thence West, on the North line of said Second Addition to Indian Village, to the Northwest corner of Lot 10 in said Second Addition to Indian Village; thence South, on the West line of said Lot 10 and said West line extended South, to the South right-of-way line of Pontiac Drive; thence West, on said South right-of-way line, to the Northwest corner of Lot 17 in the aforementioned First addition to Indian Village; thence South, on the West line of said Lot 17, to the Southwest corner thereof; thence West, on the South right-of way line of said Pontiac Drive, to the Point of Beginning, containing 44 acres, more or less.    
    Written suggestions or objections to the provisions of said annexation may be filed with the Building and Planning Department before such hearing and will be heard by the Common Council at the time and place specified.  Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
    Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the proposed annexation, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above mentioned time and place.  Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity of the City of Warsaw, should contact the office of Jeremy Skinner, 102 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, Indiana/phone # (574) 372-9550, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.  Copies of the proposed annexation may be examined in the office of the City Planner, Jeremy Skinner, located at 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana.
