Letter to the editor To Amanda Brandenburg: I'm NOT concerned about the motorcycle getting wet, I ride in the rain. What I don't like is the road hazard. And for the take another road this is the shortest way from point A to B and saves gas. I guess you don't care about that you just want the road hazards and to heck with the people that drive on the roads. Some day a wreck will happen because of the water coming from the watering and watch out for the law suits.

Dear Hoosier:
Out Door Wood Fired Boilers, OWB’s which are now called Hydronic Heaters are in the words of IDEM “Among wood burning appliances, outdoor Hydronic heaters have the highest emissions of particulate matter and PAH’s
IDEM goes on to say “The smoke drifts across property lines and can penetrate even closed nearby structures, due to the very small size of PM2.5”. PM2.5 Short Term effect on children: Lung function changes, especially in children and people with lung disease such as asthma.
Long-term exposure to PM2.5: Development of chronic respiratory disease in children. See 2007 Summit for Children’s Environmental Health Effects of PM2.5 on Children Health in Indiana: http://www.ikecoalition.org/Environmental_Summit/PM2.5.pdf
Proposed Draft Rule LSA#05-332, does not comply with the factors stated in the Indiana Code 13-14-8-4, section (7): nor will it protect the Children of Indiana. The right of all persons to an environment sufficiently uncontaminated as not to be injurious to: (A) human, plant, or aquatic life or (B) the reasonable enjoyment of life and property See : http://www.in.gov/idem/4710.htm for the entire fact sheet with the complete IC Code 13-14-8-4 and the draft rule LSA#05-332
More importantly, the Governor and IDEM need to know that air quality is important to you and your family, as well as, some of you the Hoosiers you represent.
September 1, 2010 is the deadline to convey the will of the people to the Governor and IDEM. Again it is not too late.
Thank you.

This letter is in regards to:
Commissioner Conley,
SHAME. How in the world do you know that dogs do not have a soul? Are you frontline with God? Did he clue you in on this at your church? If so, I'll be sitting with you next Sunday.
I voted for you. I am related to you. SHAME. Dogs are "beings". Your opinion of "what's wrong with America" should never have come into play for this predicament. From my understanding Jennifer Bell is a loving, caring, individual extremely concerned with a "beings" welfare, that was ridiculed and "dismissed" by an "authority figure" who has proven to not give a damn about a living, breathing, totally devoting walk of life. SHAME.
I agree with you. A dog is a "living thing with organs". But I would love some insight from you as to how you came to the conclusion that is has no soul? Ever heard a dog whimper when you leave the house? Ever heard a dog bark at an outsider when it feels that the outsider is a threat to their owner? SHAME.
How many days have you gone without eating? We as "humans" can fend for ourselves to feed our hunger. Dogs, along with all other domestic animals, rely solely on us for shelter, food and water and in return give everyone un-conditional love and acceptance. Whether we as humans choose to overeat ie: 'part of the problem with America' is at our discretion but domestic animals are totally at our mercy. SHAME.
I am so disappointed about all of this. It makes my heart ache. In closing, and I regretfully state this: Ever looked at your profile in the mirror?
SHAME!

In response to Robert Osbun and needing planning commission. Well Mr. Osbun you must like to be controled. I have lived in Leesburg all but about 6 years of my life so that makes about 60 years. I went to leesburg school 1 to 12. It was always a nice town and had very few problems. It does NOT need zoning laws or any other control from county or city. Just enforce what we have. As far as the school being bought by developers well, if you don't want that to happen then buy it yourself, problem solved. It seems when we had older people on the town board things ran fine with no problems. I have worked for the town and I could see this happen. Younger ones get on the board and they think they are the almighty. We would do well to have 1 person show up at the meetings, now look at the amount of people that woke up when things want to change, 20 to 30 people or more show up. Now we get younger people on the board and want things to change to make people who like the small upset about. Some changes are fine but a lot of things are not. This is just more control about what you can do. Taking away your rights to do with your property what you want to. A note to all who want the planning commission in, if you don't like it the way the small town is now then move to a town with the control. The sewer was bad enough, forcing us to do it and pay the high price when the town did not need it. There were other ways to fix the problem but we had people in higher places that wanted it so we are stuck with it. Mr. Osbun if you don't like it then get out of town and leave our town alone. We don't need more control. This is Oboma thinking. For the most of us we DO NOT want the planning commission. STAND UP AND SAY NO TO IT. Make your voice be herd.

Unemployment Extensions
Once again those of us who have had the misfortune of working in a company that was tied to the RV industry are made too suffer by those in our own government. These individuals that perhaps I myself have elected by carrying out my duty as a citizen of this great democracy have taken bread from the mouths of children, have forced the honest man or woman to consider less than legal ways to provide shelter for their families. What would a man such as myself, who has worked 3 decades in a job that paid an honest wage for an honest days work do when faced with eviction or a child that is old enough to ask "dad, what are we going to do now?" My unemployment benefits ran out this independence day. In the last 6 months I have actively searched for employment. I have been willing to except a 40% cut in the wages that my family had grown accustom too. Our savings are gone. I have sold everything that is not a necessity for my family with the exception of my children s belongings. My Grandfather Robert H Simcox, fought in WW2 as did all 6 of his brothers. My uncles and father also served this great country in combat in Asia. I love my country, but as I write this letter and gaze out the window at the flag that flies in my front yard, her colors seem to fade and her shining stars dulled by the darkness in my heart. My story is not unique. There are 2.1 million of us at last count. We are your neighbors, your friends and maybe even your family. What are we too do now?
God Bless America
