Michael Stinfer has filed for State Representative District 22 as an Independent.
The election is Nov. 4.
Curt Nisly, Republican, and David Kolbe, Democrat, also are seeking the seat.
Stinfer, 34, Warsaw, filed Wednesday with the Indiana Election Division in Indianapolis.
The petition filed by Stinfer consists of 46 pages, which contain 330 valid signatures within the election district for the office, according to certification provided by the Elkhart and Kosciusko County circuit court clerks.
The certification of petition of nomination was signed off by Connie Lawson, Indiana Secretary Of State.
Stinfer is a 1998 Warsaw Community High School graduate, and a 2011 Grace College business management graduate.
Stinfer served in the Marine Corp from 1999 to 2003 and during the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003. He currently is an Army Ranger with the Indiana National Guard.
