A Warsaw man was arrested this morning after a meth-related explosion alerted police.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies responded to 5571 S. Lake Shore Drive West, Warsaw, just after 1 a.m. today after they received a 911 call of a loud explosion. Police located the homeowner, William Daniel Kent Jr., 53, and observed numerous items related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force was summoned to the scene along with the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Lab Team.
Drug Task Force officers obtained a search warrant for the property and located more items associated with the manufacturing of meth, two one-pot meth labs and an area that appeared to have been recently scorched from the reported explosion.
Kent was arrested and charged with possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance and is on a prosecutorial hold in the Kosciusko County Jail.
