AKRON – Kirk Doehrmann, Tippecanoe Valley High School principal, is leaving the school system sooner than anticipated.
His last day as principal will be May 15.
Following the April 21 school board meeting, Superintendent Brett Boggs said Doehrmann’s last day would be when the seniors graduate June 8. The plan was that Doehrmann would be allowed to transition to his new position with Whitley County Consolidated Schools in May, working three days a week at TVHS and two days a week at WCCS.
After additional discussion, the plan changed, Boggs reported in an email Thursday. Doehrmann announced to his staff yesterday that his final day as principal would be May 15.
TVHS Assistant Principal Jon Hutton will assume the role of interim principal until a new principal has been hired and is in place.
