Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to a pole barn fire around 1 a.m. today at 2897 W. CR 250S in Warsaw. According to Chief Mike Brubaker, the barn was a total loss. Brubaker said when fire personnel arrived, the barn was already fully engulfed and the roof came down shortly after their arrival. The barn contained a small workshop, but there were no occupants at the time of the blaze and no resulting injuries. According to county records, the property is owned by Rhonda J. and Troy D. Helser, of that address. The fire investigation continues and the cause of the blaze has not been determined. Winona Lake, Mentone, Claypool, Pierceton and Leesburg fire departments and Multi-Township EMS assisted.
