ATWOOD – An Atwood business owner and his son were arrested in Atwood Friday on drug-related charges.
A third man was arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
Uniformed and undercover Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. deputies, along with Warsaw Police Dept. officers, arrived shortly before 3 p.m. Friday and executed a search warrant on Atwood Auto Sales, 205 Main St., Atwood.
Officers located numerous pills, schedule I narcotics, and a small amount of marijuana during the raid. Officers also detained and arrested three individuals that were present at the business during the search.
Todd Alan Swanson, 47, Warsaw, owner of the establishment, was preliminarily charged with felony possession of a schedule I narcotic as well as being additionally charged with felony maintaining a common nuisance.
Swanson’s son, Todd James Swanson, 26, Warsaw, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
A third individual, Travis James Johnson, 36, Warsaw, was arrested and preliminarily charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Both father and son posted bond ($2,000 and $455, respectively), while Johnson was still incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail with a $355 bond as of Friday night, according to a press release from the KCSD.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force was assisted by officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw City Drug & Narcotic Task Force and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
