Editor, Times-Union:
Come on Warsaw, what are you thinking sounding off a tornado signal on a day of severe weather threats and then call it a test?
I can’t believe anyone would do such a thing. Around 10:15 a.m. Sunday the tornado sirens went off. Nothing came across the local radio station about the siren.
A while later I called the county dispatch non-emergency number and asked if there was threatening weather near because nothing came over the radio.
I was told it was a test.
Does anyone realize how many people went to their basements or some place for shelter? No, and I doubt that anyone cares either.
You have set days and times for tests. Don’t do it on a day of predicted dangerous weather!
That’s jus crazy.
