BOURBON – Susan A. Craig, 65, Bourbon, passed away unexpectedly at 7:14 a.m. April 2, 2014, at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1949, in Rochester to John and Helen Yates Benedict. On Oct. 23, 1970, she married DeVon Craig, who died Oct. 30, 2013.
She was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and a graduate of Bourbon High School. She had been a pharmacy technician for more than 20 years at various pharmacies in the area, a member of Bourbon First United Methodist Church and a member of the Bourbon American Legion, Post #424 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Shawn (and spouse David) Gargis, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Brogan and Briley Gargis and Brittny (and spouse Zac and daughter Adalyn) Moriarty, all of Warsaw; two brothers, Danny (and spouse Carolyn) and Benny Benedict, all of Bourbon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon.
