GOSHEN – Robert Stutzman, 80, Goshen, died at 8:30 a.m. July 16, 2014, at his daughter’s residence.
He was born Feb. 17, 1934, in LaGrange, to Ralph and Edna Mae Chupp Stutzman. On June 27, 1954, in Goshen, he married Laura Juday Stutzman, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 9, 1956, to Aug. 8, 1958, in Fort Ord, Calif. He worked at Schrock Plaster for 21 years and Burger Dairy for 28 years. He was a member of the Community Church of Waterford and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, especially their ball games.
Also surviving are three children: Jenny (and spouse Jim) Emmert, Corvallis, Ore.; Jill (and spouse Jim) Miller and Jerry Stutzman, all of Goshen; six siblings: Elsie McNabb and Mary Boyd, both of LaGrange; Willie (and spouse Charlene) Stutzman and Don (and spouse Sue) Stutzman, all of Goshen; Floyd Stutzman, Ashley; Amos (and spouse Kathy) Stutzman, Syracuse; and nine grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Ralph, Dale, Ray, Kenneth and an infant brother; and a sister, Betty Eash.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, with Pastor Chris Russell officiating. Burial is in chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
