ROCHESTER – Patricia A. Baker, 86, Warsaw and formerly of Akron, died at 7:29 p.m. Aug. 15, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Kosciusko County, to Merl and Anna Elizabeth Shepherd Rowland. On Jan. 3, 1945, in Silver Lake, she married Donald J. Baker, who died Oct. 31, 2009.
She was a homemaker. She attended Silver Lake High School. She enjoyed going to restaurants, gardening, playing dominos, and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Pansy (and spouse Rick) Jacobs, Warsaw; three sons: Jacob (and spouse Adena) Baker, Wetumpka, Ala.; Tom (and spouse Jane) Baker, Claypool; Ted (and spouse Nancy) Baker, Warsaw; a son-in-law, Fred Koehlinger, Fremont; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Clark, Springfield, Ohio; and a brother, Duane (and spouse Mary) Rowland, South Whitley. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Baker Koehlinger, who passed away Jan. 30, 2008; three sisters: Marjorie Rhodes, Arlene Juday and Colleen Horn; and a brother, Emery Rowland.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Burial is in Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
