Mary Katherine Schilling Riehle, 71, Warsaw, passed away at 9 a.m. June 27, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 13, 1942, in Santa Maria, Calif., to E. William and Marietta Darnell Schilling. On June 26, 1964, in Lafayette, she married her husband of 50 years, David L. Riehle, who survives in Warsaw.
A current resident of Warsaw, she was raised in Lafayette and lived in Connersville for 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.  She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and St. Anne’s Altar Society. She also was a member of the Early Childhood Study Group.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed performances she attended at the Wagon Wheel Theatre and Amish Acres Round Barn.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christina (and spouse Rick) Coon, Decatur, and Julia A. (and spouse Fred) Krueger, Petersburg; two sisters, Carol (and spouse Randy) Harrell, New Port Coast, Calif., and Joan (and spouse Bill) Carrico, Waterford, Mich.; one brother, Ernest H. (and spouse Ali) Schilling, Michigan; and six grandchildren: Ethan, Nathaniel, Tanner and Delia Krueger, Petersburg; and Trenton and Ronald J. Coon, Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, William Albert Coon.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial is at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.
