Mary Beth Leake, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 8 a.m. April 3, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Warsaw, to F.B. and Gladys Yenor Light. In October 1951, she married F.D. “Mouse” Leake, who preceded her in death in 2007.
She retired from Sun Metal after 50 years and in 2006 also retired from Explorer Van Conversion, both of Warsaw. She was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #49 and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #802 BPOE, all of Warsaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Jan (and spouse Ted) Carter, Leesburg; two sons, Kim (and spouse Linda) Leake, Sholow, Ariz., and Rodney A. Leake, Pierceton; two sisters, Mert Helton and Kate Jones, both of Warsaw; a sister-in-law, Martha Light, Warsaw; six grandchildren, Shoshanah Earle, Larabeth Ryan, and Derrick, Amelia, Ethan and Austin Leake; and three great-grandchildren, Ian, Taliah and Jayden Leake. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Foles and Ginny Davis, and a brother, Don Light.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. Corinne Hodges officiating. There will be a private internment in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
