MARION – JC Kirk, 76, North Webster, died at 5:45 p.m. July 31, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 1, 1938, in Marion, to Doyte and Fern Kirk, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 5, 1962, he married Jackie Lewark, who preceded him in death. They were married for 49 years.
He lived in Marion while working for General Motors for 41-1/2 years as a general tool and die supervisor.  After retirement he summered in North Webster on Webster Lake, and wintered in St. James City, Pine Island, Fla.
His favorite activities were spending time with his family and friends, boating, fishing, remodeling and motor sports. He was a member of Center Christian Church, American Legion North Webster and Pine Island American Legion, as well as The Elks, The Moose, Jaycees and Mississinewa Boat and Ski club.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Kirk, Marion; a daughter, Stacey (and spouse Mike) Dickerson, North Webster; five grandchildren: Austin and Logan Dickerson, North Webster; Courtney (and spouse Justin) Martin, Fishers; Allison Kirk (and fiancé Adam Combs), Marion; and Lindsey Gillion, Georgia.
He was an amazing, kind-hearted and honest man.  Quiet, thoughtful and often ornery, he was an extremely hardworking man who always put his family first.  Especially after retiring, he spent a lot of quality time with his children and grandchildren, teaching them skiing, swimming and woodworking. He will be dearly missed by so many whose lives will be forever saddened by this loss. Until we see you again.
