Ione Lou Rambo, 80, passed away at 12:45 a.m. July 21, 2014, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
She was born March 23, 1934, in LaPorte, to George Lyndon and Halo Bernice Littleton Bell. On Aug. 7, 1982, she married Robert Monroe Rambo, who survives in Warsaw.
She was a 1952 graduate of LaPorte High School, and she received her bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1956 as graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, Owensboro, Ky. She worked as a waitress in Kentucky, and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Women’s Society of the Methodist Church, and attended the Church of God Ministries in Kentucky.
She also leaves behind two sons, Lyndon Alexander, Henrysville, and Ronald Alexander, Henderson, Ky.; three daughters: Carolyn Harrell, Mountain City, Texas; Belinda Mann, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Lisa Soares, Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Patsy McDonald, Castle Rock, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
A graveside service will be at noon (Eastern) Aug. 7 at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, and officiated by Bob Marshall.
Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
