Georgia Helen Prater, 72, Warsaw, died at 6:50 a.m. June 27, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to David K. and Anna Mae Hackworth Harris. On May 2, 1959, in West Prestonsburg, Ky., she married Ted Prater, who survives in Warsaw. She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. She worked at Penguin Point Catering for five years, retiring in 2006. She attended God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw. Also surviving are three daughters: Lana (and spouse Roger) Sloan, Ruth Harris and Misty Gayhart, all of Warsaw; three sons: Ted W. Prater, South Whitley; Fred (and Sue Heeter) Prater and Eddie Prater, all of Warsaw; five brothers: Kelse “Maze,” Dean, David and Bruce Harris, all of Warsaw; Glen (and spouse Lorrata) Harris, Jackson, Ky.; a sister, Virginia (and spouse Collin) Muldune, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wanda Irven. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sidney Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Brown, God’s Highway to Heaven, officiating.
