Don Goble, 76, Claypool, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Aug. 3, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Slick Rock, Ky., to James and Beulah Jane Sexton Goble. He was married in 1964, in Claypool, to Goldie Stephens, who survives in Claypool.
He worked as a plater’s helper for Warsaw Plating Works, retiring about 15 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and spending time with friends.
Also surviving are his daughter, Donna Goble, Claypool; his son, Don Goble Jr. and his companion Staci Poe, Claypool; four grandchildren: Nicolette Shepherd; and Ean, Parker and Paxton Goble; two sisters, Avo (and spouse the Rev. Chad) Burkhart, Claypool, and Brrdell Morgan, Kendallville; and one brother, Eddie Goble, Kendallville. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Artie and Clarine Illene Slone, and one brother, Delmon Goble.  
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Revs. Harry Crace and Luther Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
