PIERCETON – Bonnie Lou Adkins Sexton, 71, Pierceton, passed away at 10:22 p.m. Aug. 4, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born July 12, 1943, in McDowell, Floyd County, Ky., to Cecil and Gladys “Pet” Osborne Adkins. On July 11, 1960, in Martin, Ky., she married Ronnie Sexton, who survives.
She moved to Kosciusko County from Floyd County 50 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Pierceton.
Also surviving are four children: Donald (and spouse Janice) Sexton, Connie (and spouse Ronald) Sexton Ringle, and James Sexton, all of Pierceton; Christina (and spouse Edward) Sexton Hartman, Manitowoc, Wis.; her mother, in Langley, Ky.; four sisters: Jewel (and spouse Ernest) Adkins Shepherd, Wabash; Barbara (and spouse Douglas) Adkins Hicks, Hueysville, Ky.; Betty Adkins Sexton, Pierceton; and Bertha (and spouse Roger) Adkins Duff, West Liberty, Ky.; one brother, Ronnie (and spouse Theresa) Adkins, Langley, Ky. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and an abundance of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dad in July 1985.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
