Beth D. Stephens, 76, Mentone, passed away at 4:35 p.m. May 1, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Raven, Ky., to Canton and Susanna Jacobs Combs. On March 19, 1955, in Manton, Ky., she married Talmadge Stephens, who died Aug. 12, 2004.
She was employed by Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, from 1972 to 1988. She also took care of Palestine Cemetery for 20 years. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool, and she enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers. She also loved canning from her garden, birds and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Canton (and spouse Connie) Stephens, Mentone, and Kim (and spouse Amy) Stephens, Pierceton; two daughters, Karen (and spouse James) Zimmerman, Mentone, and Leslie (and spouse Jose) Reyes, Mentone; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Donald Jacob Stephens and Chely Lee Reyes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial is in Palestine Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and one hour prior to services Monday, at the funeral chapel.
