LAGRANGE – Audrey M. Duncan, 98, LaGrange, died July 23, 2014, at her residence.
She was born May 11, 1916, in Dumbleton, Gloucester, England, to Edward and Alice Priscilla Blanch Hopkins.
On Dec. 18, 1943, in Gloucester, she married David Duncan, who died Feb. 27, 1988.
Living in LaGrange since 1965, she moved to the area from Warsaw. She and her husband, David, owned and operated The LaGrange Cafe for many years and attended the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are four sons: Eric (and spouse Nancy A.) and James “Dooley: Duncan, all of LaGrange; David (and spouse Claudia) Duncan, Carlsbad, Calif.; Alan (and spouse Patricia) Duncan; Nappanee; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Brown, Cheltenham, U.K.; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Jane Plumber, Columbia City. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, with the Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
