INDIANAPOLIS — After advancing to Saturday’s quarterfinals with a win in the opening-round Friday night, the competition got tougher for Warsaw freshman Kyle Hatch.
In the 106-pound quarterfinals, Hatch first met up with New Palestine freshman Alec White, losing a 6-2 decision.
In his second match of the day, Evansville Mater Dei freshman defeated Hatch with a 16-4 major decision.
Wrestling in the seventh-place match, Hatch squared off with Columbia City sophomore Hunter Langeloh  and was pinned in 2:03.
Hatch’s season ends with a 34-13 record.
