BOURBON — The anticipated Class 1A Sectional 51 championship game between Triton and No. 1 Oregon-Davis will take place tonight.
During Friday night’s semifinals, Oregon-Davis took down Culver 67-41, then Triton started slowly, but eventually heated up for a 70-54 win over Argos.
Tonight’s 7 p.m. championship game will be the eighth-straight time the two have met in the sectional, with O-D holding a 6-1 advantage in the previous meetings.
In reaching the title game, Triton trailed 15-14 after one quarter, but outscored Argos 17-7 in the second, gaining control of the contest.
Against Argos, junior Kylie Mason netted 25 points, as well as recording five rebounds, four steals and three assists, while junior Krystal Sellers had a 20-point, three-assist, two-steal game.
Also from Triton, sophomore Jaela Meister had eight points and seven rebounds.

Friday in Hamilton
Taking on the host Hamilton Lady Mariners in the semifinals of the Class 1A Sectional 52, the Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team lost 49-22. The loss ends LCA’s season at 6-14.
