Former Tippecanoe Valley teammates Tanner Andrews and Tanner Shepherd have each been selected as Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 100 seniors.
The duo each played at Tippecanoe Valley during their freshman seasons, before Shepherd transferred to Triton his sophomore year.
Both are members of the 1,000-point club, as Andrews wrapped up his prep career with 1,256 points and Shepherd finished with 1,117.
The Top 100 list is the result of observation of many games during the past season as well as contact and discussion with numerous coaches, sportswriters, sportscasters and college recruiters throughout Indiana.
As the postseason progresses, the list will be cut to 60 seniors, with those players then being invited to Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 27th Annual Top 60 Senior Boys’ Workout on April 6 at Marian University in Indianapolis.
The purpose of the Top 60 Senior Boys Workout are to afford the seniors significant postseason exposure in front of numerous college coaches who will be in attendance and to enable the 2014 Indiana-Kentucky All-Star Game Director and coaches to view the 60 participants for their purposes.
