Oakwood Cemetery Board of Regents held its monthly meeting Thursday night at the cemetery office.
Kevin Planck, board president, read bids for replacing the preacher stand roof and for the cemetery to purchase a skid loader.
The board received bids for the preacher’s stand roof from Butt & Timmons and Mesmore Custom Builders and approved a $5,835.30 bid with Mesmore.
The board also reviewed bids for a skid loader from Bobcat, Warsaw; Bobcat, Fort Wayne and Hull Lift Truck, Elkhart. The board approved a $45,999 contract with Bobcat, Warsaw.
The bids will be reviewed during the April 17 Board of Works meeting.
Hal Heagy, cemetery sexton, informed the board there were 16 burials in March, six lots sold and signed three burial deeds.
The cemetery gave out seven loads of wood and heard the front gate that was damaged in January when a man drove through it was replaced Thursday.
