An opioid recovery center operated by Bowen Center is opening today in Fort Wayne.

The Bowen Recovery Center will  be offering methadone medication, onsite individual and group outpatient counseling. It is located at 1415 Directors Row, which is along West Coliseum Boulevard in Fort Wayne.

Gov. Eric Holcomb was scheduled to attend and speak at the grand opening. Jim McClelland, Indiana’s executive director for drug prevention, treatment and enforcement, was also expected to attend.

The grand opening event and open house with tours runs from 4 to 7 p.m. today.

The Bowen Recovery Center is a division of The Bowen Center.

The Warsaw-based Bowen Center offers services to help people cope with addiction, autism, depression, stress, anxiety, grief and other issues.
