Based on the hit DreamWorks film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Leonardo DiCaprio comes “Catch Me If You Can, The Musical.”
According to a press release from the theater, “The brilliant and conniving con artist Frank Abagnale Jr. is scheduled to be in Warsaw June 18 to 28 at the Wagon Wheel Theatre.
“This delightfully entertaining musical, created by the Tony Award winning team that brought you the score of ‘Hairspray,’ Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman with book by Terrence McNally, tells the story of Frank Abagnale Jr., a young con artist in search of a new and glamorous lifestyle.
“Before the age of 21 Abagnale passes himself off as a doctor, a lawyer and a jet pilot. When Frank’s lies catch the attention of straight-shooter FBI agent Carl Hanratty the audience is off on a world-wide classic cat-and-mouse chase accompanied by a lively and swinging 1960s score. Frank finds out what happens when love catches up to a man on the run and Agent Hanratty and Frank soon learn they are more alike than they thought.”
WWT Director of Marketing and Fund Development Rachel Mondragon said, “You don’t want to miss this show. The incredible Wagon Wheel cast and crew ‘make butter out of cream’ with their incredible singing, dancing, and acting.”
