AKRON – The Fulton County Choral Club, under the direction of Joyce Jones, will be the featured group for the Community Concert this month at the Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson St., Rochester.
This group of women singers will present a variety of musical selections at 4 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served following the one-hour concert. Everyone is invited to attend and there is no charge; but, freewill donations will be accepted.
Akron Jam
The third Friday acoustic jam will be March 21 at 7 p.m. in the Akron Community Center, east of Akron north on Ind. 14.
Bring your acoustic instrument and sit-in with the group or just come to listen to the sounds of bluegrass, country, folk and gospel songs. Coffee and juice will be furnished. Bring a small snack to share. For more information, contact Karen at 574-598-2875 or email karensc@rtcol.com

Photography Group
The Akron Area Arts League photography group meets the third Tuesday each month at 7 p.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson St., Rochester. The date is Tuesday and the suggested photography topic is “Mud, Messes and Melting Snow.” The educational DVD program will be “Composition I – Seeing Well.” If you are interested in photography and cameras, then you are welcome.
Art Exhibit
Steve Weinert, Kewanna, is the featured artist now through Saturday in the Fulton County Library, Rochester. Weinert works in pen/ink and watercolors. Don Kegarise, also of Kewanna, will have acrylic paintings on display Saturday through April 26. Both artists are members of the Akron Area Arts League. The Arts League is responsible for the changing exhibits in the library.
Calling all Artists
The Akron Area Arts League is inviting all visual artists, or anyone who has an interest, to attend a meeting March 30  from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Akron Community Center, east of Akron, north on Ind. 14.
Diane Overmyer, artist, former gallery owner and founder of the Michiana Plein Air Painters, will be the guest speaker and will do a small landscape demonstration.  Those who attend are asked, not mandatory, to come with a landscape painting or drawing of their own and finger foods to share. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided.
