During the last week of June, several members of the Triton School Corporation staff, along with staff from Culver Schools, John Glenn Schools and Plymouth Schools, attended a training at Triton High School on how to respond to the presence of an active shooter at school. The ALICE model was presented to these area educators by two police officers who are certified trainers in the method: Officer Holopeter of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Officer Zeiger of the Bourbon Police Department. Pictured are teacher Dawn Slein, who took the role of the ‘shooter’ for the training, with the weapons, and Holopeter instructing her in her role for the training.
